How aware are the youth about the environment? How relevant are environmental concerns to their daily lives? How would they solve the environmental issues their community faces? These are the questions the Youth Environmental Workshop which was sponsored by the foundation wishes to find out. Select students of various year levels from beneficiary communities underwent this day-long workshop at the Baras Marine Agricultural and Research Center (BMARC), the foundation site, where they were tested and evaluated the facilitator on their general knowledge about the environment and how they are affected by these in their areas. Through a Nature Walk and the Hug a Tree activity, they are encouraged to get closer to nature, with the workshop the students came up with their own workable action plan that they could initiate in their respective schools.
