The foundation hosted an environmental symposium that was attended by media, educators, students, and personalities from various fields. The lecture was presented by Dr. Kent Carpenter, a scientific expert, who together with a team of scientists conducted a study about Philippine Marine Biodiversity. Dr. Carpenter’s study confirms the Philippines as the center of the center of marine biodiversity and that a lot of different marine species are present per unit area. The symposium reminded the attendees about the richness of the Philippines in terms of biodiversity and resources. The symposium also served as a call to action to take another look at how the country is doing when it comes to protecting and conserving the environment.
