Medical Missions

Health workers are regularly sent to beneficiary communities who do not have regular access to health services. Done in cooperation with the Northern Palawan Provincial Hospital, residents are able to receive free consultations, procedures, and medicine.

May 19, 20, 2008: 160 families from Sitios Calabugtong, Calampisao, and Dinet were visited by a team of five doctors from Manila, headed by Dra. Anne Tangalin, for free medical consultations and vaccinations.

November 8, 2011: Made possible through the Northern Palawan Provincial Hospital and the foundation, a 17-man team, composed of two doctors and nurses visited Sitio Calabugtong to provide free consultations, surgical procedures, circumcisions, and health lectures to 700 residents.

October 23, 2012: Together with the Northern Palawan Provincial Hospital, SPSF sponsored Medical Mission for the residents of Sitios Calabugtong, Calampisao, and Dinet. Residents received free consultations, surgical procedures, and lectures on both health and family planning.

October 25, 2013: 370 residents from Sitios Calabugtong, Calampisao, and Dinet benefited from free medicine and consultations. Minor operations such as cyst removals and circumcisions were performed by visiting doctors. Lectures on family planning and hygiene were also done to enrich the education of the residents.
