Medical mission conducted benefitting three Palawan barangays

SPSF Medical Mission 2018

Last April 2018, the Save Palawan Seas Foundation conducted its medical mission, benefitting 380 patients from Barangay Casian, Barangay Dipla, and Barangay Batas.

This year’s mission was done in partnership with Philippine Tatler, Philippine Medical Association-Palawan Chapter, and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 402nd Squadron.

The team of volunteers offered both medical and dental services. Surgeons, dentists, and pediatricians from the Philippine Medical Society, as well as a surgeon from Medical Center Manila, provided free check-ups and consultations. Minor operations were also performed, ranging from tooth extraction to cyst removal. After each appointment, patients were also given their medication.

The beneficiaries openly expressed their gratitude for the services. Dr. Frederick Quicho, the president of the Philippine Medical Society-Palawan Chapter, likewise expressed his appreciation for how the foundation actively sustains these medical initiatives.
